Here's some background on where my inspiration comes from. My artwork reflects a lifetime of travel and exposure to other cultures and their artists. Once upon a time, I was born in Wedmore, Somerset in the southwest of jolly olde England close to Stonehenge and Glastonbury Tor. (Speaking of this beautiful country, here's a photo of my wife Judy and I with a beloved Britannic majesty.) Growing up I traveled extensively throughout Europe. As a teenager one of my favorite spots was the Louvre in Paris. Also, Rome, Venice, and Madrid all saturated me with wonderful works of art and exposed me to many different styles.
In my twenties I traveled east journeying through Greece, Israel, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal & India (where I stayed for more than a year). Later I lived in Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv for nearly two years. I moved to California in 1977, then a few years later to South Florida where I now live with my dear wife Judy. Perhaps you can see the Caribbean influence in some of my work. Raj Yoga is a discipline I enjoy that helps me fire up those fabulous brushes, paints, and gold leaf! I enjoy doing commissions, so let's discuss your vision.
Email me and I'll give you a call.
